Vasilchenko, Philip Trofimovich

Born in 1910.

He was a member of the Great Patriotic War . ^[1] After graduation, he returned to his homeland and began working in the tractor brigade of the Salsk machine and tractor station of the collective farm named after Stalin (later - XXII Party Congress). ^[2]

Philip Trofimovich was the author of articles in newspapers and magazines:

• By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 25, 1948, the foreman of the tractor brigade of the Salsk MTS collective farm named after Stalin of the Salsky district of the Rostov region Philip Trofimovich Vasilchenko for receiving a high yield of wheat 24.2 centners per hectare on an area of 396 hectares was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle". ^[3]
• He was also awarded the Second Order of Lenin (1952) and medals.
