Biography

Born on July 2, 1943 in the family of Lev Dmitrievich Orlov and the Greek woman Sofia Konstantinovna Yahiopulo.

In 1968 he graduated from the Faculty of Credit, Moscow Financial Institute . After studying, in the 1970s he worked as a senior credit inspector in the Krasnogorsk branch of the USSR State Bank .

Then in 1980 he became the manager of the Mytishchi branch of the State Bank. In 1986 he became manager of the Moscow Regional Office of the State Bank. In 1987 he became the head of the Moscow Regional Department of the Agroprombank of the USSR.

From 1991 to June 2012, he headed the Bank Vozrozhdenie , holding the position of Chairman of the Board of the Bank. Since 1994, he was a member of the board of directors of the bank.

In direct and indirect ownership, Dmitry Orlov had about 36% of the shares of Bank Vozrozhdenie [2] .

He was a member of the Council of the Association of Russian Banks , the Council on Banking under the Government of the Russian Federation. He was the head of the group for financial support of economic reform of the Moscow region , a member of the National Economic Council. He was also the chairman of the endowment fund of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and the chairman of the board of trustees of the Financial University.

He died on December 5, 2014 [3] .

Family

He was married, had several children [4] :

  • wife - Elena Vyacheslavovna Orlova (maiden name Kuznetsova);
    • son - Nikolai Dmitrievich Orlov ; [five]
    • daughter - Tatyana Dmitrievna Orlova.

Rewards

  • Awarded the honorary title of Honored Economist of the Russian Federation .
  • He was awarded by the Governor of the Moscow Region the Order Medal and the Order of Ivan Kalita, the medal “In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow”, the medal “For Strengthening the Combat Commonwealth”, the distinction “For Services to the Moscow Region”, the “Thank you” sign of the Governor of the Moscow Region, and the Governor of the Moscow sign area "For useful", the distinction "For perfect service to the city of Moscow."
  • By a decree of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia dated June 28, 2013, Dmitry Lvovich was awarded the Order of Akhdz-apsha (Honor and Glory) of the III degree.
