German Zettegast ( German: Hermann Gustav Settegast ; April 30, 1819 , Königsberg - August 11, 1908 , Berlin ) is a German scientist in the field of livestock farming and agriculture.

After graduating from high school for about 10 years, he was practically engaged in agriculture; Then, after listening to a course at the Hohenheim Agricultural Academy and Berlin University , he was elected the managing director of the academic estate and a teacher of agriculture at the Proscaus Academy, and then, after five years ( 1858 - 1863 ) managing the newly opened Agricultural Academy in Waldau , near Koenigsberg , the director of the Pro-Claus academy.
From 1881 he was a professor at the Berlin Higher Agricultural School.
