Biography
Born in 1957 in the village of Verkhnyaya Zalegoshch, Oryol Region. In 1979 he graduated from Moscow State University. Since 1982, he began to work in the Computing Center of the Far Eastern Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1989, the Khabarovsk branch of the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Far Eastern Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences was created on the basis of the mathematical units of the Computing Center of the Far Eastern Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences, and V.A. In 1990, he defended his doctoral dissertation, in 2006 he was elected a corresponding member of the RAS in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
Scientific Achievements
V. A. Bykovsky is a specialist in number theory, automorphic functions, and their applications. He owns an estimate of the Hecke series of automorphic forms twisted with character on a critical line. He built a quick algorithm for computing the discrete Fourier transform and obtained final results using number-theoretic multidimensional quadrature formulas.
