Kolyushev, Mikhail Ivanovich

Mikhail Ivanovich Kolyushev ( April 28, 1943 , Dushanbe ) - Soviet track cyclist , played for the USSR team in the second half of the 1960s. Biography

Mikhail Kolyushev was born on April 28, 1943 in the city of Dushanbe of the Tajik SSR . He began to actively engage in cycling in early childhood, was trained at the Dynamo Dushanbe voluntary sports society, then moved to Tbilisi in 1963, represented Minsk in the period 1964-1965, and lived and trained in Tashkent from 1966 [1] .

The first serious success on the track was in 1965, when he became the USSR champion in the team pursuit and, having entered the main team of the Soviet national team, went to the Spanish World Cup in San Sebastian, where together with teammates Leonid Vukolov , Stanislav Moskvin and Sergei Tereshchenkov defeated all his rivals and thereby won the gold medal. A year later, again was the best in the standings of the all-Union championship and again went to the world championship - this time he showed the third result at the competitions in Frankfurt, passing the teams of Italy and the FRG ahead, as a result of which he received a bronze dignity award (at the same time In addition to Vukolov and Moskvin, the team consisted of Viktor Bykov ).

Having defended the title of champion of the Soviet Union in the team pursuit, in 1967 Kolyushev spoke at the world championship in Amsterdam, with Moskvin, Bykov and the Latvian joining the team Dzintar Latsis won and became two-time world champion. Also this season, he set a world record in the 1000 meter meter on the go - at the finish time he showed 1.01.32.

In 1968, Mikhail Kolyushev won the team pursuit for the fourth time in a championship of the USSR and, thanks to a series of successful performances, won the right to defend the country's honor at the Summer Olympic Games in Mexico City - together with the team, which also included Stanislav Moskvin, Dzintar Latsis, Viktor Bykov and Vladimir Kuznetsov , managed to reach the stage of the semifinals, where he was defeated by the Danish national team. In the race for third place, he competed with athletes from Italy, but also lost. For outstanding sports achievements he was awarded the honorary title " Honored Master of Sports of the USSR " [2] .

After completing his sports career, he worked for many years as an instructor and methodologist in cycling at a specialized children and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 54 "Orienta" in Moscow [3] .
