Anatoly Vladimirovich Shaposhnikov ( November 24, 1923 - November 29, 2014 , Moscow ) - Soviet and Russian aircraft designer; took part in the creation of the aircraft IL-38 , IL-62 , IL-86 .

Biography
After graduating from high school, in 1941 he volunteered to go to the front of World War II . He was a scout, served in the army until 1947. After demobilization, in the same year, he entered the Moscow Power Engineering Institute . And after graduation, he was sent to work at OKB S.V. Ilyushin , where he worked as a design engineer, head of department, initially engaged in the electrical engineering of all aircraft. Then, from 1974 to 1988, Shaposhnikov was the director of the Strela Moscow Machine-Building Plant.
After retirement he was on a well-deserved rest. He died of a heart attack on November 29, 2014 in Moscow. [1] An urn with ashes was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery [2] (according to other sources - at the Mitinsky cemetery) [3] .
Rewards
- He was awarded the Orders of Lenin, the October Revolution, World War II, the Red Banner of Labor and the Badge of Honor, as well as medals.
- Laureate of the State and Lenin Prizes (for the creation of IL-38 and IL-76, respectively).
