History
The village of Beloe is mentioned on the map of F. F. Schubert in 1844 [2] .
In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Sugorovka volost of the 1st camp of the 1st zemsky section of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province .
WHITE - the village of the Prudsky Rural Society, the number of yards - 15, the number of houses - 15, the number of inhabitants: 45 metro stations, 49 railways. P.;
The occupation of the inhabitants is agriculture and forestry earnings. At the lake. Chapel adjacent to the village of Gorka. (1910 year) [3]
From 1917 to 1918, the village was part of the Sugorovo volost of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province.
Since 1918, as part of the Cherepovets province .
Since 1927, as part of the Resurrection Village Council of Tikhvin District .
Since 1928, as part of the Volkhov district. In 1928, the population of the village was 287 people [4] .

Geography
The village is located in the southeastern part of the district on the highway 41A-399 (Kurya - Beloye).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 27 km [11] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Kolchanovo is 43 km [6] .
The village is located near the northern edge of the Besovskoy swamp and the shore of Lake Beloe . To the south of the village flows the Belsky stream.
