The dwarf parrot Salvadori [1] ( lat. Psittaculirostris salvadorii ) is a bird of the parrot family. The species is named after the Italian ornithologist Tommaso Salvadori (1835-1923).

Appearance
Body length 21 cm. The main color of the plumage is green, with various shades. The upper part of the head with a bluish tint. The forehead is bluish in color with a green tint. The throat and cheeks are yellowish, with blue spots in the ear and below the eyes. The goiter of the female is green, with blueness, and of the male is yellowish-red.
Distribution
It lives on the northern coast of the island of New Guinea .
Lifestyle
Inhabit subtropical and humid tropical forests .
Threats and security
Deforestation may be the reason for the rapid decline in the population of these parrots.
