Biography
Born July 3, 1810. From 1824 to 1830 he studied at the gymnasium in Budyshyn, then until 1833 he studied law in Leipzig . Since 1833 he worked as an assistant in the Bautzen City Court. He was the head of family courts in the settlements of Milkel (Minakal) and Kunevalde (Kumwald). Then he worked as a free lawyer.
During the German Revolution of 1848-1849, he adhered to revolutionary ideas and participated in the Puddle organization “Serbske rěčenske towarstwo”, which advocated for the equal rights of the Puddle people. Together with the Luzhitsky writer Ian Smoler, he participated in the creation of Luzhitsky public organizations. From 1847, he participated in the work of the socio-cultural organization “ Matica Serbian ” and from 1856 to 1872 was its chairman. In 1850 he founded the literary magazine Bjesada and was its editor for several years.
