Biography
Born July 15, 1914 in the village of Sorokino (now - Vyazemsky district of Smolensk region ). He graduated from elementary school, then worked on a collective farm. Since 1933 he lived in Moscow , worked at Metrostroy as a locksmith, a miner. He actively participated in the construction of a large number of Moscow metro stations. Since 1949, Pavlov worked as a team leader in the tunneling team of SMU No. 6 Metrostroy. His team many times set records for tunneling, while doing its job at a high level of quality [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 18, 1963, for "outstanding production successes achieved in the construction of the Kaluga radius of the Moscow Metro," Ilya Nikolayevich Pavlov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle" [1] .
In 1975, Pavlov retired. He lived in Moscow [1] .
