History
In 1917, in Taganrog, the owners of the Taganrog Tannery opened an elementary two-year school [1] . The school was opened in a barrack-type house on Podgornaya Street, near the factory. Boys and girls from 6 years old were taken to school, who were taught elementary basics of literacy. Political events that soon began interrupted classes more than once [1] .
With the establishment of Soviet power in Taganrog , the school was transferred to the former home of the owner of the Taganrog brewery Hermann Bazener in Bolshoi Sadovoy Lane, transforming it from a two-year to a four-year [1] .
In 1925, the school was relocated to the building of the former club of the Public Assembly, a magnificent mansion at Lermontovsky Lane, 2 [1] .
