Sternberg, Janek

At the age of four, Janek was in the children's sports school in the city of Lezen . In 2006, he joined the Aihede youth team, but a year later he ended up in the Hamburg youth squad, for which he played in the Bundesliga (under 17) . Since 2012, he is transferred by age to the older age group and becomes the team captain in the youth Bundesliga .

On March 9, 2011, Sternberg made his debut in the Northern Regional League in a match against the Hannover II club and continued playing in a team led by Rodolfo Esteban Cardoso until the end of the season. In the summer of 2011, he signed his first professional contract, designed for 2 years ^[2] . After it expired, he transferred to Werder Bremen on a free transfer.

Sternberg was immediately transferred to the second team , where he performed under the leadership of Viktor Skrypnik again in the northern Regional League ^[3] . On November 29, 2014, Janek made his debut in the Bundesliga , leaving the starting lineup in the match against Paderborn , replacing Santiago García , who was disqualified due to busting yellow cards, to the position of the left defender; the match itself ended with the victory of “Bremen” 4-0 ^[4] .
