Aed mak Konkhobayr [1] ( dr. Лed mac Conchobair ; died in 888 ) is King Connacht (882–888) of the Wye Brijun clan.

Biography
Aed was one of the sons of the Connaught ruler, Konkhobar, Mack Taydga Mora [2] . His family possessions were located on the plain of Mag Ai, located around the ancient Irish complex Kruahan [3] .
Aed Mak Konkhobyr inherited the throne of Connaught after the death of his father, who died in 882 [2] [4] . In his reign, Aed waged heavy wars with the Vikings . In 887, many Normans from Limerick were killed in the attack on them Connaught [5] . The following year, the ruler of Connaught took part in the campaign of the High King of Ireland Flann Sinn against the Dublin Vikings . However, in the battle that took place, the Irish army was defeated. Among the noblemen who fell on the battlefield were King Aed, Lergus poppy Kruinnen and the abbot of the monastery in Kildare Donnhad [6] [7] [8] .
After the death of Aed, the poppy of Konkhobayr was inherited by his brother Tadg [2] .
