Content
History
Its history goes from the 103rd Panzer Sevsk Red Banner Order of Kutuzov and Bogdan of the Khmelnitsky Brigade formed in Vologda in March 1942.
For the skillful performance of combat missions in battles with the Nazi invaders and the staunchness, decisiveness, discipline and organization shown by the personnel, they were awarded the guard rank and converted to the 65th Guards Tank Brigade (December 1, 1944) on the basis of Order of the Non-Commercial Organization No. 0376 dated November 20. 1944 [1]
In January-March 1945, she participated in the Warsaw-Poznan and East Pomeranian offensive operations. The swift actions of her soldiers, together with other formations of the 2nd Guards Tank Army, bypassing the Warsaw group from the West, contributed to the capture of troops of the 1st Army of the Polish Army, the 47th and 61st Armies, the capital of Poland - Warsaw (January 17), for which the brigade awarded the Order of Lenin (February 19, 1945).
For differences during the fighting in Eastern Pomerania, she was awarded the honorary name Pomeranian (April 5) and awarded the Order of Suvorov 2nd degree (April 26, 1945).
The combat path ended in the Berlin offensive operation. For exemplary performance of combat missions, courage and courage of personnel, she was awarded the second Order of the Red Banner (June 11, 1945).
