Biography
In 1859, Leskov graduated from Kiev University . He worked in a clinic at the university. Since 1880, he began working as a city sanitary doctor in Kiev , in 1887 he became the chief sanitary doctor of the city. In 1893-1898 he was the director of the Alexander Hospital (in the Soviet era - the hospital named after the October Revolution) and the Mariinsky Orphanage. In addition, Leskov was a member of the Kiev city government . In 1898, he sold his estate and moved to the Chernigov province .
Alexey Leskov died on December 8, 1909 in Kiev. He was buried in the village of Peski (Bobrovitsky district) next to his wife, Adele Danilovna Krynskaya, who died in 1901. At Timka's farm in the village of Staraya Basan, Bobrovitsky district, Chernihiv region , the estate that she owned was preserved.
