Blue painted wanga , or blue painted wanga [1] ( lat. Cyanolanius madagascarinus ), is a species of sparrow bird from the Vangidae family, the only one in the genus Cyanolanius [2] .

Body length about 15 cm. Males have a bright blue upper side of the body and a white belly. In females, the upper side is not so bright.
It feeds on insects and their larvae. In search of food, these birds often join mixed flocks of insectivorous birds.
The female lays 3-4 eggs in a nest located in the crown of a tree. The reproduction biology of the species is poorly studied.
Inhabits Madagascar and the Comoros . It is found in Madagascar everywhere, except for semi-desert areas.
