Arthur Friedheim ( born Arthur Friedheim ; 1859 - 1932 ) - American pianist, conductor and composer of Russian origin; author of operas and piano concerts.

Biography
Born October 26, 1859 in St. Petersburg in a Jewish family.
He began to study music at the age of eight. After graduating from St. Petersburg University , he continued studying music with A. G. Rubinstein , then with Franz Liszt , who had been secretary for some time.
From 1891 to 1895, Friedheim worked in the United States. After that, he spent some time in London and until 1904 he taught at the Manchester College of Music. Then from 1908 to 1911 he was in Munich and finally settled in the United States in 1915. He worked in Canada in Toronto , where in 1921 he became a professor at the Canadian Academy of Music .
Died October 19, 1932 in New York.
One of Friedheim’s students was Rildia O'Brien Cliburn, Van Cliburn’s mother. [one]
