Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul (also the Peter and Paul Church ) - an Orthodox church under construction in the city of Shelekhov , Irkutsk Region , Russia . Upon completion of the construction, it will be the highest (49 m) and large (presence of up to 2500 parishioners at the same time) religious building in the region [1] [2] [3] .

Content
History
The ceremonial laying of the first stone of the church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul took place in the summer of 2000 . The foundation was created taking into account a possible earthquake of magnitude 10.0 [4] .
In 2008, a bell tower was installed on the temple.
On Petrov Day , July 12, 2011, the first liturgy was held in the church. It was held by Archbishop Vadim . The altar is temporarily located in the room, where at the end of construction there will be a refectory [1] .
July 12, 2014 the crosses of the temple were consecrated. On July 18, installation of small domes [5] began , and the largest dome was placed on August 25 [2] .
