CJ E&M Corporation ( 씨제이이 앤엠 주식회사 ) is a South Korean media company. It is the daughter of the media group CJ Group, which is involved in entertainment and media, [1] , because “E&M” in the name is an abbreviation for “Entertainment and Media”.

The company was created when the Korean conglomerate CJ Group merged six of its entertainment holdings into one company called CJ Entertainment & Media. In particular, CJ Entertainment (the largest distributor of films and an investor in Korea) and Mnet Media (music and entertainment TV channels owned by the CJ Group) merged into the company. The company was launched on March 1, 2011; it had four divisions: film, broadcasting, music, concert and gaming (computer games). In particular, the KM and Mnet channels were included in the broadcasting division, and many different musical projects were included in the music and concert. As reported, by 2015 the company was going to achieve a sales volume of 3.1 trillion won (2.7 billion dollars) [2] .
On February 12, 2014, at the annual Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards, established by the Korean National Music Chart, CJ E&M was announced the winner in the Music Distribution category [3] .
