Chronicle Record
Hodota and his son are mentioned only once in the “ Teachings ” of Vladimir Monomakh ( Laurel, l. 81ob.) [1] , in which the Prince of Kiev announces two of his winter trips to the land of the Vyatichi to their center of Kordno (Kordno): “ And Vyatichi went by after two winters to Hodotah and to his son, and to Kordna the first winter went; ... ".
According to A. A. Zaliznyak , the name of Khodot is close in structure to the name of the Suzdal Khoduta (Khodutinich) mentioned in the Novgorod lead letter (plate) No. 1 [2] .
