Koshka ( Ukrainian: Kishka , Crimean-Tat. Qoş qaya, Kosh kaya ) - a rock in the Crimean mountains near the village of Simeiz . The name comes from the Crimean Tatar Kosh-Kai ( Qoş Qaya ). Qaya means “rock” in translation, qoş means “doubles”. Later the name was rethought by the Russian population: the shape of the mountain resembles a lying cat . The height of the mountain is 254 meters. It is part of the Cat Mountain nature monument, founded in 1984 with an area of 50 hectares.
