Taylor, Matt

Matt Taylor (born 1972 or 1973) is a British scientist known as a researcher [1] in the project of landing the Fila spacecraft on the surface of the comet Churyumov – Gerasimenko as part of the Rosetta mission (for the first time in human history) in November 2014 Employee of the European Space Agency.

Biography

Born in London . Married and has two children. There is also a sister. He graduated from the University of Liverpool. PhD holder. He has tattoos on his arms and legs on a space theme. He made the last of them when, in January 2014, the ship successfully exited the "sleep" mode and switched to actions under the program.

Rosetta

The mission of Rosetta was to make several gravitational maneuvers to land the 100-kilogram lander Fila on the surface of comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko and carry out the necessary research. At the same time, the orbital module was supposed to continue to rotate around the comet along a complex trajectory and relay scientific data to the Earth.
