Biography

Vladimir Ryabukhin was born on March 17, 1924 in the village of Kakha (now the Ilan district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory ). Prior to being drafted into the army, he worked as an automatic mechanic in car repair shops. In August 1942, Ryabukhin was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . He graduated from the artillery school. He participated in the battles of World War II, the end of which he met in Austria [1] .

In 1957, Ryabukhin graduated from the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport , in 1966 - from the Military Academy of the General Staff . In 1966 - 1967 he served as chief of staff of the rear and deputy chief of rear of the Carpathian Military District . In 1967-1969 he was a member of the Group of Soviet military specialists in Egypt . Upon returning, he continued to serve as chief of staff of the rear and deputy chief of rear of the Volga Military District . He later served as deputy rear commander of the 5th Guards Tank Army and chief of logistics of the Central Asian Military District . In May 1974, Ryabukhin was awarded the military rank of Major General [1] .

Since 1979, he has been teaching at the Military Academy of the General Staff. In August 1988, Ryabukhin resigned. He lived in Smolensk . He died on January 15, 2012, was buried at the New Cemetery of Smolensk [2] .

He was awarded two orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, orders of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree and "For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" 3rd degree, a number of medals [1] .
