History
The magazine was founded in 1952 under the name "Libraries of the USSR. Work Experience ”, since 1967 -“ Libraries of the USSR ”, since 1973 it has been transformed into the periodical publication“ Soviet Library Science ”, since 1993 it has been released under the modern name.
Theme
The journal publishes articles on a wide range of problems in the content and organization of libraries as a social institution in the field of culture , science , education , and information .
