The progressive Ba'ath Party ( Arabic: حزب البعث العربي التقدمي ) is a political party in Jordan that adheres to the ideology of Arab socialism and has been officially active since the repeal of the State of Emergency Act and permission to create political parties in the early 90's. Included in the "National Front for Reforms" of Ahmad al-Ubaidat , although clandestine cells have operated even before the time of the March 8 Revolution . It is a branch of the pro-Syrian Ba'ath faction and competes with the Arab Socialist Revival Party of Jordan's pro-Iraqi faction . Party slogan: "One Arab nation with an eternal promise." Declared goals: work to promote the ideals of socialism , pan-Arabism and freedom among the Arab countries.
Many Jordanian Baathists took part in the Free Officers Movement . Has a historically strong presence in the Jordanian Parliament . He advocates political, economic and social reforms while maintaining the power of King Abdullah II ibn Hussein . At the moment, one of the strongest opposition parties in Jordan among youth and tribal leaders.
