The electronic library "Science and Technology" is one of the oldest Runet projects [1] , is a source of selected scientific, technical and popular science information. Most electronic documents are published on the NiT site for the first time. Electronic versions of rare books, informative articles (history and development of science and technology; traditional and promising technologies; energy sources; scientific hypotheses; literary work of scientists), biographies of Nobel laureates, archive of popular science magazines.

Creation History
NiT website was opened in 1997 (nit.kiev.ua since 1997; nt.org since 1999; nt.ru since 1999). Created and supported by the International Public Organization “Science and Technology” (founded in 1995 [2] ). Initially, the site included electronic versions of books published in NiT. Then replenished with digitized copies of rare books from the home library, articles from scientific journals. In 1997 ... 1999 the site occupies the first position in the Rambler's Top 100 (category "Science"). At the same time, copyright articles begin to arrive for publication. Of the most active authors, an analytical center is gradually being compiled, presented by scientists from Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, and the USA. According to statistics [3], the audience of the site [4] is: 150 thousand (unique visitors per month). Every day, about 5 thousand readers receive 20 thousand documents and archive files.

The electronic library is presented by sections:
- Current publications - selected non-fiction articles in the headings: man and society; education; science today; scientific hypotheses; history of science; history of technology; science and religion; the world in which we live; appliances today; measurements in technology; energy sources; scientific entertainment; literary work of scientists;
- Nobel laureates - 566 biographical articles;
- Scientific journals - an electronic archive of popular science magazines: Nature; Science and life; Nature and people; Technique - youth;
- Rare editions - electronic versions of rare books;
- Information publication - a series of books published in NiT.
- Science and technology news - announcements of events and activities, archive of issues.
