Initial Biography
Alexander Nikolaevich Nechaev was born on December 12, 1902 in Orel.
Military Service
Pre-war time
In August 1921 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army , after which he was sent to study at the 2nd Moscow Infantry Course, after which in September 1922 he was appointed assistant platoon commander of the 2nd separate Moscow company of GPU troops, and in April 1923 - to the post of platoon commander in the 6th regiment ( 30th division of the GPU troops ).
In September 1923 he was sent to study at the 8th Petrograd Infantry School of the command staff, and then was transferred to the Kiev Infantry School , after which he served in the 6th Infantry Division ( Moscow Military District ) from October 1924 as platoon commander , Commander of the economic company of the 17th Infantry Regiment and battalion commander in the 16th and 17th Infantry Regiments. In 1925 he joined the ranks of the CPSU (b) .
In January 1932, Nechaev was sent to study at firing training courses at the Vstrel shooting tactical institute. At the end of May of that year he was appointed assistant commander of the 17th Infantry Regiment ( 6th Infantry Division ), in March 1933 - to the post of chief of staff of the 144th Infantry Regiment ( 48th Infantry Division ), in July - to the post of head of the Training Center of the 10th Rifle Corps , in January 1935 - to the post of chief of the 5th part of the staff of 84th Infantry Division , and in May 1938 - to the post of commander and the 164th Infantry Regiment ( 55th Infantry Division ).
In August 1939, Colonel Alexander Nikolayevich Nechaev was appointed to the post of commander, first the 149th , and then to the post of commander of the 113th Rifle Division , while on which he took part in hostilities during the Soviet-Finnish War . Since April 1940, he served as the head of the first Ordzhonikidzegradsky , and from July - Dzerzhinsky infantry schools . In April 1941, he was appointed head of the Ordzhonikidze Military Automobile and Motorcycle School .
World War II
In July 1941, Nechaev was appointed commander of the 283rd Infantry Division ( Oryol Military District ), which at the end of September of the same year was transferred to the operational group under the command of General A. N. Ermakov ( Bryansk Front ) for participation in during the offensive operation to liberate Glukhov , but on September 30, the enemy launched a counterattack on the troops of the Bryansk Front, after which he went on the offensive in the Oryol direction. The troops of the front, among whom was the division under the command of Nechaev, were surrounded, from where they came out with heavy military operations in the Tula direction. After leaving the encirclement, the division was included in the 3rd Army and took part in the course of the Tula defensive operation , and then in the Yelets offensive operation and the liberation of the city of Efremov .
In March 1943 he was appointed commander of the 28th Rifle Corps , who soon took part in the Battle of Kursk , the Chernihiv-Pripyat , Kiev and Zhytomyr-Berdichev offensive operations , as well as during the liberation of the cities of Chernigov , Ovruch , Korosten , Novograd-Volynsky and others, for which Lieutenant General Nechaev was awarded the Order of the Red Banner .
In January 1944 he was appointed to the post of deputy commander of the 13th army , which took part in the Rivne-Lutsk offensive operation , and in April - to the post of commander of the 106th rifle corps , which during the Lviv-Sandomir offensive operation took part in the course of liberation of Lviv.
In July 1944, Lieutenant General Alexander Nikolaevich Nechaev was seriously injured, after which he was sent to the hospital.
Post-War Career
After the war, Lieutenant General Nechaev continued his treatment, and after his recovery in October 1945 he was sent to study at higher academic courses at the K.E. Voroshilov Higher Military Academy , after which he was appointed commander of the 6- First Rifle Corps ( North Caucasus Military District ), in June 1948 - to the post of assistant commander of the North Caucasus Military District, and in August 1949 - to the post of assistant commander of the Don Military District .
In December 1949, Lieutenant General Nechaev was appointed to the post of commander of the 13th Army ( Carpathian Military District ), in April 1953 - to the post of assistant commander of the 7th Mechanized Army for Infantry, in October 1954 - to the post of 1st the deputy commander of this army, in February 1955 - to the post of chief military adviser to the barracks people's police of the GDR , in February 1956 - to the post of chief military adviser to the Minister of National Defense of the GDR , and in March 1959 - to the post of senior For the Commander-in-Chief of the Joint Armed Forces of the Warsaw Treaty Member States in the National People's Army of the GDR.
Since January 1960, Lieutenant General Alexander Nikolaevich Nechaev was at the disposal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces and in September of that year was dismissed. He died on July 5, 1987 in Moscow .
