The house paddlefish [1] , or the house frog [1] ( lat. Polypedates leucomystax ) is a species of tailless amphibians from the family of copepod frogs.

The total length reaches 5-8 cm. Sexual dimorphism is observed - females are larger than males. The head is wide, the muzzle is elongated and strongly pointed. The eyes are big. The skin is smooth. Round suction cups are developed at the ends of the fingers. The membrane, developed only on the hind legs, reaches almost to the ends of the fingers. They are not so brightly colored, but larger. The main color tone is brownish with a yellowish-golden tint. A contrasting dark stripe often passes from the tip of the sharp muzzle to the middle of the eye and from the eye back. It may also have a pattern of darker than the general tone, long longitudinal stripes. The eyes have a golden rainbow and black pupils. The outer side of the jaws is white, it seems that the "lips" of the amphibian are bordered with white paint.
He loves rain, mountain forests, rocky shores, coastal fresh water lagoons, arable land, pastures, plantations, rural gardens, urban areas, areas of reservoirs, ponds, irrigation lands, seasonal flooding of agricultural land. It occurs at an altitude of up to 1,500 meters above sea level. It lives mainly on trees. Active at night. It feeds on small invertebrates.
The female wraps the laid eggs with a kind of foam that protects the masonry from drying out. The masonry is attached to stones or leaves.
The species is distributed from India, the Eastern Himalayas to Indochina, southern China, Java, Kalimantan, the Philippines and the island of New Guinea.
