Donn Cotaid mac Cathail ( Dr. Irn. Donn Cothaid mac Cathail ; died in 773 ) is King Connacht (768–773) of the Wie Fiachra clan.

Biography
Donn Cotide was the son of Catal Mack Ajello and the great-grandson of the governor Connacht Dunhad Muriski [1] . It belonged to the septum of Ui Fiahrah Muade , whose lands were located at My mouth [2] .
Donn Coteide maquette Cataille gained power over Connaught in 768, after the death of King Oak Indrecht of Maquail Cataille of the Wye Brijun clan [3] [4] . Medieval historical sources do not report on the circumstances of the transfer of power in the kingdom from the representative of Wu Brijun to a member of the clan Wu Fiahrah.
Very little is known about the rule of Donn Kotaida poppy Cataila. According to the Irish annals , in 772 in Connaught “the law of St. Commander was proclaimed for the second time” [5] . This act in the kingdom introduced the mandatory implementation of the set of rules developed by Comman Roscommon [6] .
In 772, the annals mention the death of two Connaught rulers, King Wu Mane Aed Ailgin and King Wu Fiahrah Aydne . According to the “ Annals of the Four Masters ”, they were both killed [7] .
Donn Cotide Mac Popul died in 773 [8] . He was the last member of the clan Wi Fiachra, who held the title of king of all Connaught. The successor to Donn Cotide on the throne of the kingdom was Flatry Mac Domnayl of Wye Brijun [3] .
The son of Donn Kotaida, poppy Kataila, who died in 787, or Connm], in medieval sources is referred only to the king Ui Fiahrah [1] .
