Biography

Born September 3, 1890 in Forest City, PA.

At the age of sixteen he began a film career, before that he had worked in vaudeville. First starred in the film companies Kalem and Edison Studios . In the period from 1918 to 1927 he starred in many films in characteristic roles. With the advent of sound cinema, he slept in several hundred films with different roles. He was a guest star in the Cay series Faye Emerson's Wonderful Town .

At the end of his career he worked on television, in particular in the series Twilight Zone , and starred for the last time in the famous film Days of Wine and Roses (1962, as a tenant, not shown in credits) [2] .

He died of a heart attack on May 21, 1966 in Van Nice, California, and is buried in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery cemetery . [3]

In 1915, O'Malley married actress Lillian Wilkes (died December 15, 1976); they had three children: Sheila, Eileen and Kathleen.
