Biography

Born on October 3, 1941 in the village of Borisoglebsk [3] in the Yaroslavl Region.

After graduating from high school, he entered the Physics Department of Moscow State University , which he graduated in 1964. All subsequent scientific activity of Anatoly Zasov is associated with the Sternberg State Astronomical Institute (GAISH), where he has gone from a senior laboratory assistant to a professor. He defended his thesis in 1970, the doctoral thesis in 1989.

He works at the SAI, collaborates with the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences , and the Physical Department of Volgograd State University . Known for scientific and popularizing activities: lectures at the Polytechnic Museum , Moscow Planetarium [4] and others.

A. V. Zasov is the author of more than 150 scientific papers, co-author of several textbooks of physics and astronomy for the school and the textbook “General Astrophysics” for students of physical specialties of universities.
