In Russia, it is partially observed in the central and southern regions, but full visibility is south of 35 ° north latitude . The brightest star of the constellation - Wolf Wolf - has a magnitude of 2.3 m ; within the territory of Russia, this star rises only in the south of Dagestan . The second brightest star β of the Wolf (its stellar magnitude 2.68 m ) is observed south of latitude 46 ° 52 '(this is about half a degree north of the latitude of Astrakhan ; in Adler this star rises by about 3.5 °, and in the south of Dagestan - by about 5.5 ° [1] . The constellation Wolf contains globular star clusters NGC 5824 and NGC 5986 , open clusters NGC 5822 and NGC 5749 , a dark nebula B 228 , a planetary nebula with a hot Wolf-Rayet- type star IC 4406 , and a young star HD 142527 with Herbig object Aro and protoplanetary disk. The historical supernova of 1006 flared up in this constellation ( SN 1006 ).
