Biography
Born in 1916 in the village of Voznesenovka, Astrakhan province (today - Tselinny district of Kalmykia). He began his career on the collective farm “Victory” in the Tselinny district of the Kalmyk ASSR. He participated in the Great Patriotic War. After demobilization, he returned to his native collective farm, where he worked for more than 25 years.
In 1948 he raised 127 lambs from each hundred ewes. In 1949, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for outstanding achievements in agriculture. Participated in the All-Union Exhibition of VDNH, where he received a silver medal.
Memory
- In Elista, on the Alley of Heroes, a bas-relief of Gordey Logvinenko is installed.
