Content
Biography
Born in 1898 in the village of Elista, Astrakhan province. After the October Revolution, he entered into an agricultural artel organized by the poor near Elista. He participated in the Great Patriotic War. After demobilization he worked as a senior shepherd.
In 1949, he received 120 lambs from each hundred ewes and sheared 6 kilograms of wool from each sheep. For successes in the development of animal husbandry, in 1950 he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.

- In Elista, on the Alley of Heroes, there is a bas-relief of Nikolai Kornienko.
