Biography

Born in 1907 in the village of Promyslovka in the Astrakhan province. Since 1930, he took part in the collectivization of agriculture in the Kalmyk Autonomous Region. In 1931 he joined the CPSU (B). He worked as chairman of the Yandykovsky village council. He was elected chairman of the collective farm named after Lenin. He participated in the Great Patriotic War. After demobilization, he returned to Kalmykia, where he continued to work in agriculture. From 1950 to 1972 he was chairman of the collective farm "Proletarian Way" of the Gorodovikovsky district. He brought the collective farm to the number of advanced farms in the Kalmyk ASSR. In 1967, the collective farm "Proletarian Way" on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution was awarded the challenge Red Banner of the RSFSR.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 21, 1959, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Hammer and Sickle Medal.

Memory

In Elista, on the Alley of Heroes, a bas-relief of Fedor Dedov is installed.
