Origin
The name Nengo was borrowed [6] :
- from Li Ji : 「有 虞氏 皇 而祭 、 深 衣 而 養老」 [6] ;
- from Tong Wen-wang shi zi ni ( Chinese к 文 王世子 に , pinyin : Tóng wénwáng shìzini ): 「凡 大 合 楽 必 遂 養老」 [6] .

- 717 year (3rd moon of the 1st year of Yoro) - Sadayjin Iso-kami Maro died at the age of 78 years [8] .
- 717 (9th moon of the 1st year of Yoro) - Empress Gensho visited Omi Province, where she was met by the owners of the regions of Sanindo , Sanedo and Nankaido ; entertained her with songs and dances. From there she went to Mino province, where the lords of Tokaido , Tosando and Hokurikudo honored her. [9]
- 718 - Amendments and comments on the Taiho Codex , known as the Yoro Codex ( 養老 律令 Yoro-Ritsuryo )
- 721 year (5th moon of the 5th year of Yero) - recently compiled by Nihon Shoki in 30 volumes [10] were proposed to the empress’s court.
- 721 year (5th moon of the 5th year of Yoro) - udaydin Fujiwara no Fujito died at the age of 62 years [11] .
- 721 year (5th moon of the 5th year of Yoro) - the daijo tenno Gemmei died at the age of 61 [11] .
