Biography
Vyacheslav Zhukov was born on April 14, 1948 in the village of Uskul, Tatarsky District, Novosibirsk Region . After graduating from high school, he worked as a concrete installer. In 1967, Zhukov was called up for service in the Soviet Army . In 1970, he graduated from the Ussuriysk Military Automobile School, in 1977 - the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport , in 1992 - the Military Academy of the General Staff [1] .
After the collapse of the USSR, Zhukov continued to serve in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and held the post of deputy rear commander of the 1st Guards Tank Army . In February 1994, he was awarded the military rank of Major General. In August 1998, Zhukov resigned. He lived in Smolensk .
He died on September 28, 2012, was buried in the New Cemetery of Smolensk [1] .
He was awarded the Order of the Red Star , " Badge of Honor " and "For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" 3rd degree, a number of medals [1] .
