Sabanov Yuri Viktorovich (born June 4, 1978, Sterlitamak ) is a Russian athlete. Honored Master of Sports R.F. (2009) on belt wrestling.

Biography
Sabanov Yuri Viktorovich was born on June 4, 1978 in Sterlitamak.
In his youth, Yuri was engaged in swimming, participated in competitions and was a city champion in swimming. From the age of 12 he was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling and kuresh wrestling.
During the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament in Solikamsk (Perm Region), being a master of sports of Russia in this type of wrestling, Yuri was injured and he had to leave this sport. In 2006 he graduated from the Sterlitamak Institute of Physical Culture.
He went in for sports in the sports clubs of the Sterlitamak machine-tool plant (coach A. A. Safarov) and “Ufimets” (N. Yu. Mazov).
2003-2008 was a member of the Russian national belt wrestling team. He performed in the weight category over 100 kilograms (162 kg).

- Champion of the world (2006-2007), Europe (2005, 2007-2008) and Russia (2003, 2006-07) in wrestling on belts
- Winner of the Cup of Russia (2005), silver medalist of the World Championships (2003, 2005)
- Winner of the international tournament in memory of S. S. Safin (Moscow, 2005-2007) in wrestling on belts
- Champion of Russia (2004) in kuresh wrestling.
- Winner of international tournaments in Greece (Larisa, 1997) and the Czech Republic (Chomutov, 1998) in Greco-Roman wrestling among juniors.
