Body length 31 mm [2] . It has large eyes, an almost triangular face with raised skin like scallops. The color of the back is light brown or reddish brown. A wide beige strip passes under the eye. The belly is slightly lighter than the back.
Lives in the humid tropical mountain forests. It occurs at an altitude of 300 to 1200 meters above sea level. Keeps on the edge of the forest or in the woody debris. Active at night. It feeds on small invertebrates that are hunted in the grass.
The female lays eggs on the ground, among the leaves. Due to direct development in the eggs, formed frogs emerge from them.
