Emblem Description
In the azure (blue, blue) field there are three wide arrowheads (two and one), which are accompanied by wings inscribed on the sides, all the figures are golden .
Justification
The city of Zhukovsky is named after a Russian scientist in the field of mechanics, one of the founders of modern hydroaerodynamics, the organizer of the first Russian aviation research institutions, Professor Nikolai Zhukovsky ( 1847 - 1921 ). On the territory of the city operates the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. N. E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI), M. Gromov Flight Research Institute, as shown in the coat of arms by wings - a generalized symbol of aeronautics. The main figures of the coat of arms are the golden arrowheads - one of the ancient symbols of weapons, determination, firmness and courage. Three arrows embody the idea of take-off, allegorically reflect the profile of the city of Zhukovsky - the design, construction and testing of military aircraft. Gold symbolizes wealth, justice, respect, generosity. The azure field of the shield corresponds to the sky. Azure is a symbol of high aspirations, thinking, sincerity and integrity.
Approval
The coat of arms of the city of Zhukovsky was approved on April 25, 2002 by decision of the Council of Deputies of the city. The coat of arms is entered in the State Heraldry Register under No. 959. Authors of the coat of arms: I. Gonchar and K. Mochenov. [1] [2]
