Biography
Zharikov Dmitry Sergeevich was born on March 8, 1984 in Sverdlovsk .
He went in for sports in the Sports School in Ufa, kayaking and canoeing with coaches N.A. Popov, N.A. Popov.
In 2005 he graduated from the Ural Academy of Physical Culture. Since 2001, he was a member of the Russian national kayaking and canoeing team.
Achievements
- Silver (2003, 2004 - at distances of 500 and 2000 m) and bronze (2004 - at a distance of 2000 m)
- Prizewinner of the Russian Kayak Championships, Kayak Doubles, Kayaks Fours.
- Winner of the World Championships (2001), Europe (2-time, 2002) and Russia (2-time, 2002; 2003, 2004)
- Silver medalist of the championships of Russia (2-fold, 2001; 2002, 2003) at distances of 500, 1000 and 2000 meters on kayaks among juniors.
