History

In the era of the Warring States, these lands were part of the Qi kingdom. When the kingdom of Qin for the first time in history united China into a single state, Boyan County (博 阳县) was created here. Under the Han Empire, it was renamed Bosian (博 县) and subordinated to Taishan County (泰山 郡); authorities of Taishan County from 110 BC e. located in the modern district of Daiue. Under the Northern Wei Empire, Bosian County was renamed Bopin (博 平县). Under the empire of Northern Qi, the county was again renamed Bosian; Taishan County was disbanded, and the county was subordinate to Dongping County (东 平郡). Under the Sui Empire, in 581, Dongping County was also disbanded, and Bosian County was renamed first in 596 in Wenyang (汶 阳县), and then in Bocheng (博 城县). Under the Tang Empire, Bocheng County was renamed Qianfeng (乾封 县) in 666, the name Bocheng was returned to it in 668, and in 705 it was again called Qianfeng. Under the Northern Song Empire, Qianfeng County was renamed Fengfu (奉 符 县) in 1008.

After these places were captured by the Jurchen people and became part of the Jin Empire, in 1136 the Thai Military District (泰安 军) was formed, in 1182 it was transformed into the province of Tai'an (泰安 州). Under the Qing Empire, the region was elevated in status to a council in 1735, and these lands became a "county on lands in the vicinity of the administrative center of Taiyi" (泰安 附 郭 县). After the Xinhai revolution, there was a reform of the administrative structure in the Republic of China, and the councils with the provinces were abolished, and Tai'an County (泰安 县) was created on these lands in 1913.

In 1950, the Taiyang Special Region (泰安 专区) was established as part of Shandong Province, and Taian County became part of it. In June 1958, the administrative center of the county - the village of Tai'an - was merged with the surrounding lands into the city of Tai'an. In November 1958, the city of Tai'an and the county of Tai'an were merged into the urban county of Tai'an; Taiyang's special area was disbanded at that time, and Taiyang City County came under the jurisdiction of Jinan .

In 1961, Taiyang Special District was recreated, and Taiyang City County returned to it. In 1963, Tai'an city county was again transformed into a regular county. In 1967, Taiyang Special District was renamed to Taiyang County (泰安 地区). In 1982, Tai'an County was again transformed into the city of Tai'an.

In May 1985, by order of the State Council of the PRC, the Taian District was transformed into an urban district; the urban district of Tai'an was divided into Taishan and Suburban areas. In 2000, the Prigorodny district was renamed Daiue.
