History and Description
The company appeared in 2002, borrowing the format of the American retailer Harbor Freight Tools [5] . The company's own stores are open in major cities, and in the regions the network is developing under a franchise [6] [7] [8] . According to 220 Volt data, in 2014 the franchisee owns 140 of the 210 stores in the network, and half of 6 new points are opened monthly by their forces [6] . Since 2015, franchisees companies operate in the Crimea and Belarus [9] [10] .
According to the company, most of the revenue comes from trading through its own and third-party trading platforms , including eBay , Alibaba , Ozon , Wikimart [11] [12] . In 2015, the company announced the expansion of the logistics system and the outsourcing of the development and maintenance of online stores of DIY brands , including the processing and delivery of orders. “220 Volts” is a member of the Association of Internet-Trading Companies [15] [16] .
