Career
Club
Lombardo began his career with the Sergocrem creme C Series club. Having played for two seasons, he went on increasing by signing an agreement with the Cremonese club of Serie B. For four seasons, Attilio became the team leader and her best footballer.
In 1989, Lombardo signed a contract with Sampdoria . The transfer amount was 4 million lire. At that time, many talents were gathered in the team, such as Gianluca Paliuc , Pietro Verhovod , Srechko Katanets , Luca Pellegrini , Moreno Mannini , Toninho Cerezo , Alexei Mikhailichenko , Gianluca Vialli and Roberto Mancini . On December 20, 1990, in the 1992 European Championship qualifying match against the Cyprus national team, Lombardo made his debut for the Italian national team [2] .
