Mary Antin (Entin) ( born Mary Antin (Maryashe Antin) ; 1881 - 1949 ) - American poetess, prose writer, publicist and philosopher of Jewish origin from Belarus ; spoke with lectures in the United States on the rights of migrants and their Americanization .

Biography
Born June 13, 1881 in Polotsk in the Jewish family of Israel and Esther Antin. She was the second child of six children.
Israel Antin emigrated to the USA (to Boston) in 1891, and in 1894 the whole family moved to America.
She studied at the Boston Latin Academy. In 1901, she married Amadeus William Grabeau and moved with him to New York . Here Mary studied at the College of Education at Columbia University and at Barnard College .
It became popular thanks to the publication of his autobiography. She promoted American culture, lectured on emigration to the United States from Tsarist Russia.
She died of cancer on May 15, 1949 in the United States.
