Biography

Born May 29, 1912 in the village of Bolshaya Privalovka (now Verkhnekhavsky District, Voronezh Region) in a peasant family.

He began his career biography as a mechanic at the Kovrov Tool Plant . He graduated from the production faculty without interruption in production and in 1933 entered the Moscow Higher Technical School named after Bauman . After graduation, he was drafted into the Red Army and upon returning from it, in the fall of 1940, he joined the Moscow Aviation Plant named after Gorbunova.

With the outbreak of World War II, the enterprise was evacuated to Kazan , where Mikhail Glebov worked for the rest of his life. He worked sequentially - as the head of the department, the deputy chief of the workshop, the deputy chief of production, the chief mechanic, the chief controller, the chief technologist, the chief engineer and the director of the plant (from 1967 to 1973). Under him, Kazan aircraft manufacturers launched the IL-62 airliner into mass production [1] .

Along with the production, he was engaged in social activities, was repeatedly elected as a deputy of the district and city Councils, as well as the Supreme Council of the Tatar ASSR.

After retiring, he lived in Kazan. He died on August 15, 1986 .

Rewards

  • In 1971, M. N. Glebov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin (for his major contribution to the development of aircraft manufacturing).
  • He was also awarded the second Order of Lenin, two orders of the Red Banner of Labor and medals.
