"Sex and Philosophy" ( Pers. سکس و فلسفه ) - Iran - Tajik - French movie directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf 2005. The film was shot in Tajikistan , most of the dialogues are pronounced in Russian. The film premiered in September 2005 at the Montreal Film Festival . It was shown in cinemas in South Korea , Turkey , Italy , Singapore and Russia . “Sex and Philosophy” was nominated from Tajikistan for the Oscar in the category “Best Foreign Language Film” at the 2006 ceremony , but was disqualified due to the lack of subtitles for the English-language film required by the Academy [1] .
