Song Information
Since August 2009, 2NE1 took a short break from their activities, and the band members recorded solo singles; Dara was the first to release her song called “Kiss,” a fellow CL member took part in her creation, recording rap for the track. The producer and songwriter is Korean musician Teddy Pak , which created the majority of tracks for 2NE1 [1] . The song was used in a commercial for Cass beer [2] .
The video clip “Kiss” appeared on the official channel 2NE1 on YouTube on September 5, 2010. The male role in the video was played by the popular Korean actor Lee Min Ho [3] .
Dara performed “Kiss” during the 2NE1 concert tours - NOLZA and New Evolution World Tour.
“Kiss” was able to reach the 5th place of the Korean hit parade Gaon Chart [4] , and on the Chart Monkey3 was able to beat the song G-Dragon “Heartbreaker” [5] in the fight for the 1st place.
