Biography
Born on April 15, 1930 in the village of Tatar Suks, Aktanyshsky District, Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
After graduating from six grades of school, he worked in the fields of his native collective farm . For labor during the Great Patriotic War he was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
In 1948 he was sent to the FZO school of the city of Stalin in the Kemerovo region to continue his education. After working as a carpenter after its completion, in 1952 Sagir Gilmanov returned to his homeland. Here he was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army and was discharged from it in 1960. After the army he moved to Kazan , where in 1998 he worked first at the plant of reinforced concrete products No. 1 of the Promstroymaterialy trust, then at the large panel house-building factory No. 2 (now ZAO KPD-Investzhilstroyservis) as the foreman of the moulders.
He was a production innovator and youth mentor. He was engaged in public activities - he was elected a member of the Lenin District Committee of the CPSU, a delegate to district and regional party conferences, a member of the regional committee of the party and the presidium of the branch trade union.
Currently on a well-deserved vacation.
Rewards
- In 1971, S. G. Gilmanov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin .
- He was also awarded the second Order of Lenin (1966) and the Order of Labor Glory of the III degree (1975), as well as medals.
