On the biography of Edesius, little information has been preserved. It is known that during the reign of Emperor Julian II the Apostate , approximately between 361 and 363, Edesius served as the presidency of the Isles, a province that included islands located between Asia Minor and Greece . It is known that at this time he built the temple of Hera on Samos .
